ALL-NIGHT SKATE HELPS SUNSHINE FULFIL KIDS' DREAMS

The Sunshine Foundation of Canada thanks everyone who laced up their skates on Valentine's Day evening for our Skate in the Park at Dark fundraiser.

London's Storybook Gardens was the perfect setting for our all-night skate-a-thon. Sunshine thanks Storybook Gardens manager John Riddell and his helpful staff for being such a wonderful community resource.

Congratulations to the five dedicated skaters who endured our icy overnight challenge: an intrepid foursome known as Team Discovery Channel and an individual, Dustin Gallagher, who completed 400 laps (100 kilometres) over the course of the night.

Special thanks to longtime Sunshine supporter Ed Holder, MP for London West, and to the young London Blizzard Sledge Hockey Club members who joined in the fun, and to the many volunteers who ensured the event's success.

Currently, five children in our community who are challenged with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses are waiting to receive their Sunshine Dream. Everyone who attended Skate in the Park at Dark brought us one glide closer to making these Dreams come true!
