Jobs For Londoners Created In 48 hours
December 2, 2009
– London West Member of
Parliament Ed Holder praised the London International Airport for
moving quickly to provide employment opportunities following a
significant federal government investment on Monday.
“On Monday, we
announced $8M for the London Airport and within 48 hours we see the
positive results. I am
extremely pleased with the light-speed that the Airport has moved to
advance their ambitious air cargo facility.
While the investment is a legacy one, the impact it will have
for London starts immediately,” said Holder.
Well-paying employment opportunities are now
posted on the Airport website at
www.londonairport.on.ca/employment.html
and these senior positions will result in further employment.
“Steve Baker and his team at the Airport have
done London proud by showing they are ready to help our local
economy rebound and expand.
Their vision and hard work is paying off today for tomorrow,”
added Holder.
On Monday, the federal government announced that
it would provide $8M of a $11M expansion of the London International
Airport. The new
facilities will create a significant air cargo handling facility and
further cement the Airport as a leading Ontario airport.
